About This Place

Nestled in the industrious charm of Atlanta’s Ellsworth Industrial district, Bacchanalia stands out as a beacon of New American fine dining, seamlessly blending innovation with reverence for local and seasonal ingredients. From the moment you approach, the restaurant’s meticulous attention to detail sets the tone for an exceptional culinary journey, further enriched by its adjoining delicatessen where thoughtfully curated gifts and gourmet essentials invite discovery even before your first bite.

Bacchanalia’s menu is a masterclass in refined creativity, showcasing dishes that celebrate both texture and flavor in harmonious balance. Imagine beginning with delicate Kumamoto Oysters kissed by the brightness of Bartlett pear and Meyer lemon, or savoring the rich complexity of Prime Beef Tartare layered with cucumber, beet, and rye pastrami aioli, artfully accented with radish. Each appetizer sets an anticipatory mood that only deepens as complimentary bread service presents freshly baked sourdough, anchoring the meal in artisanal tradition.

The main courses are a testament to the kitchen’s commitment to playful sophistication. The Wood Grilled Prime NY Strip arrives perfectly charred, paired with Summerland farm roots and a farm egg emulsion that gracefully ties together rustic earthiness and elegant finesse. Meanwhile, the Jamison Farm Lamb reflects deep respect for regional farms, paired with charred sweet onions and sumac-seasoned eggplant, evoking rich, layered aromas that linger long after the last bite. Sea bass, duck breast with chanterelle mushrooms, and gnocchi that melt effortlessly on the tongue further illustrate a menu that speaks to seasonal bounty and thoughtful composition.

Sensory delights continue into dessert with a sublime Chocolate Soufflé that rises in airy decadence, cakes showcasing refined sweetness, and the unexpected but beautifully executed Gulab Jamun, which offers a soft, fragrant farewell to the meal. The wine pairings curated by Bacchanalia’s knowledgeable sommelier elevate each course, creating an experience where every sip complements the nuances of the plate, weaving a rich tapestry of taste and aroma.

The atmosphere mirrors the culinary artistry—warm, inviting, and intimate with tasteful wooden décor that welcomes both larger groups and couples seeking celebration-worthy dining. Guests consistently note the attentive, gracious hospitality that carries a personal touch, easing any formality and inviting diners to fully immerse themselves in both the food and the moment. Whether it’s a milestone anniversary or a first Michelin-starred experience, Bacchanalia’s team ensures every detail contributes to unforgettable memories.

Bacchanalia is more than a restaurant; it’s a destination for those who seek bold flavors in elegantly crafted dishes, served with warmth and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Here, every course sings with vibrant local ingredients, every atmosphere note hums with attentive care, and every visit feels like a well-deserved indulgence.

From the moment you approach Bacchanalia, the restaurant’s meticulous attention to detail is unmistakable. Even before entering the dining room, guests are welcomed by the adjoining delicatessen—an inspired extension of the restaurant that serves both day and evening customers. This boutique-style market is more than a grab-and-go spot; it offers a beautifully curated gift area, thoughtfully stocked with seasonal items, artisan provisions, and gourmet treats that mirror the restaurant’s ethos of craftsmanship and quality. Inside Bacchanalia, the décor and ambiance continue this philosophy of refinement and purpose. The interior is elegant yet understated, intentionally designed to let the food and wine pairings take center stage, seperate private dining areas are designed with curtains and rope latice, allowing private dining but still enjoying the nouse and chatter from the main restaurant. Nothing is distracting or superfluous; instead, every design choice subtly reinforces the restaurant’s dedication to culinary artistry. Soft lighting, clean lines, and natural textures create a serene backdrop that enhances the sensory experience without competing with it, water glasses so fragile that they give tbe illusion of water standing on its own on the table, a nice clean touch. A core part of Bacchanalia’s identity is its unwavering commitment to sourcing locally. The restaurant proudly lists the farms, growers, and suppliers who contribute to its menu, demonstrating a transparent and deeply rooted respect for its ingredients. This connection to the region is felt in every course, where flavors are pristine, seasonal, and delicately balanced. The music—a detail often overlooked in fine dining—receives equal consideration here. The soundtrack of soft jazz gently fills the room, adding warmth without intruding on conversation. In past seasons, Bacchanalia has even featured selections tied to celebrated performers such as Wynton Marsalis and the Atlanta Symphony, who have notable performance dates scheduled for February 2026. This thoughtful curation adds yet another layer to the restaurant’s sensory elegance. Bacchanalia remains one of Atlanta’s most refined culinary experiences—an establishment where every element is intentional, and every detail enhances the whole, well deserving of their Michelin star, and at a very reasonable price fix. A must visit, and not being left empty handed you are invited to take a loaf of the restaurants bread home, wrapped in a delightful brown paper bag.

Fantastic seasonal prix fixe menu with great options for each course - I chose lobster, duck, brillât savarin cheese course and SF Muscadine dessert. And the bites before, in between and after are so delicious as well. Warm hospitality and great recs from the team. I was able to use my Amex Platinum quarterly Resy credit which is another bonus!

Being our (my girlfriend and I’s) first time at a Michelin Star restaurant, we were very nervous coming in as we do not normally eat at an establishment this high. We did not know what to expect. But the food and the entire staff took those nerves and made our experience there something we will need to see again! The staff made us feel at ease, wishing us a Happy Anniversary any opportunity they get. It felt like they knew our dinner was very important to us. They were meticulous in how they presented a dish or how they cleaned the table and it was very nice to see and experience. The food was a once in a lifetime experience. We’ve never had food so good. We were blown away. The cliche of having small portions at a nice, fancy restaurant was not true at Bacchanalia. We were stuffed by the end, and everything was perfect from my 1st course through the 4th. Each dish we ate had very nice flavors, some bites we were left breathless. They also added in small dishes to start off and a couple in between which was also a nice surprise. If I am given the opportunity to come back here again, I would. I am glad that Bacchanalia gave the love of my life and I a perfect dinner for our First Anniversary and a memory that will last a lifetime!

Really great spot with a nice wooden decor. Have seating for larger parties. All the mocktails were creative and not just juice which is much appreciated. The standouts menu wise were the elijay apple and the sf egg. The best cheese was the stracciatella

The food was delicious and the service was amazing. The only thing I think can be improved is the pacing of the meal, which seems like more of kitchen issue than a service issue. I enjoy a little bit of time between courses to take in the experience but it was more than that. I was told dinner would take about 3 hours when I made the reservation and I did have a large party, however dinner was closer to 4 hours and I felt like I was going to fall asleep at the table after that much food an wine. Overall it was an amazing experience for a special occasion.

Had a wonderful experience. The food was so good. I had the SF egg, the lamb, blue cheese pate and apple dessert. There was not one part that I did not love. The food portions were larger than your usual fine dining experience- I left feeling stuffed. Will definitely be coming back!

We love the vibe here. Elegant, understated, professional with everyone dressed well and well mannered. Service is impeccable. Always attentive without being obvious. We unfortunately had a small time crunch due to a Fox show but we communicated and they accommodated it perfectly. The food is definitely Michelin quality. We’ve eaten at Michelin restaurants in Italy and they hold up. Layers of flavors and innovation. Just the right quantity as well. Well done. We will be back.
